Heart Rhythm Congress 2013

Delegates are invited to attend the eighth annual Heart Rhythm Congress (HRC) at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham UK from 20-23 October 2013.

Organised by Arrhythmia Alliance in partnership with Heart Rhythm UK – the largest heart rhythm event in the UK, HRC provides unrivalled opportunity for health care professionals interested in the management and development of arrhythmias to share effective practice, show case innovation, learn about latest developments and network with over 3,000 delegates.

Sessions will include:

  • interactive tutorials,
  • accreditation courses,
  • electrophysiology (EP) training,
  • hosted meetings tailored for Commissioners and policy makers, service providers, primary care, secondary and tertiary and cardiac and arrhythmia nurse specialists.

Renowned international faculty confirmed to present include Professor Pedro Brugada, Dr Riccardo Cappato, Dr Blair Grubb and Dr Robert Sheldon.

An extensive trade fair is held alongside the Congress with over 45 exhibitors showcasing the latest in technology and treatments, this runs throughout the three scientific days of HRC 2013.

Heart Rhythm Congress is also proud to support its annual Patients Day, held on Sunday 20 October, which includes specific meetings focusing on arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrest, syncope and postural orthostatic tachycardias (POTs) and atrial fibrillation. Supported by leading arrhythmia experts representing electrophysiology, nursing, paediatric and primary care, the full day meetings include workshops, presentations and Q&A sessions. Attendees include patient members from Arrhythmia Alliance, AF Association and Syncope Trust and Reflex anoxic Seizures (STARS).

New for 2013: ‘The Heart of AF’ – a ‘one-stop-shop’ for healthcare professionals managing and developing provision for AF. Including one-click access to national and international guidelines, videoed presentations and interviews, local AF protocols, research, articles, teaching resources and professional development. The site is a centre for learning, sharing and improvement in provision for AF care and management.

Available now, the AF Revalidation tool supporting GPs with accredited revalidation in AF and includes support for evidence of learning, audit and practice improvement.
